We started BrandPatrol because the same pattern kept showing up across brands we talked to: paid-search budgets quietly leaking to affiliates and hijackers bidding on the brand's own name, discovered only after months of commission paid on traffic that was never earned.
Most brand-protection tooling is built by people who have only ever looked at the problem from the brand's dashboard. Our team has sat on the other side too — running affiliate programs, reading redirect chains, and knowing exactly how a hijacker structures a landing page to survive a network's spot checks.
That's the gap BrandPatrol closes. Instead of a generic "someone is using your trademark" alert, every case comes with the specific affiliate ID, the network behind it, and the redirect chain connecting the ad to the payout — the same evidence a network's compliance team asks for, assembled before you ever have to ask.
Knowing the affiliate side also means knowing where a generic scanner gets fooled: a redirect chain that takes three or four hops before it reaches the real landing page, a tracking parameter that only appears mid-chain, a partner ID that only means something once it's checked against the roster you've actually authorized. Those are the details a case file has to get right, not gloss over.
We kept the product small and specific on purpose: one job, done to evidence-grade standard, instead of a broad "marketing intelligence" suite that treats brand bidding as one checkbox among fifty.
These aren't aspirational — they're how the product is actually built.
A case only ships with a timestamped SERP and landing-page screenshot, a traced redirect chain, and — where one exists — the affiliate ID and network behind it. If a detection can't clear that bar, it doesn't become a case; it stays a hunch, and hunches don't reach your inbox.
Everything we read is what a shopper searching your brand would already see, plus the public ad-transparency record every advertiser is required to publish. No login to your ad accounts, your affiliate platform, or your CRM — no OAuth grant, no API key, nothing behind a wall — and no end-customer personal data ever enters a case file.
Every detection is checked against the partner roster you maintain for that brand before it's ever raised as a case. Keep the roster current as your program changes, and an approved affiliate never turns into a false alarm you have to chase down and dismiss.
Being useful to you and overreaching into your business are different things. Five boundaries we hold on purpose:
None of this shows up as a line in the product — it's how the small team behind it actually operates.
BrandPatrol is run by a compact group who each work cases directly, not a layer of account managers relaying findings from someone else.
Tell us your branded keywords and the regions that matter — we'll scope what a first pass would find.
